Entrudo de Lazarim

Lazarim Carnival (Entrudo de Lazarim), near Lamego, Portugal, is one of the oldest traditions still being practiced in the Country. New and unique Diabolical wooden hand-carved masks go out into the village streets at Carnival Tuesday day. This named Caretos wear also costumes made from agricultur materials, like burlap, straw or fabric remnants. All the residents of the village cooperate in the festivities and thousand came from all over the world to celebrate this ancient tradition.
